Does the information I provide remain confidential and secure?
Yes. Financement Auto Durocher adheres to the highest security and confidentiality standards in the market to protect your personal data. Additionally, our online credit application is entirely secure.
If my credit situation improves, can my rates be lowered?
Yes, absolutely! This is one of the most important aspects of our credit repair process. Our goal is to get you the best rate possible. In general, we can apply for a credit review within 12 to 18 months of signing the contract.
Are there any fees for the credit application process?
No. The application is entirely free.
Can I get financing even if one of my previous vehicles was repossessed due to non-payment?
Yes. It is now possible through exclusive agreements with some of our financial institutions.
Can I get financing if it’s my first loan?
If you don’t have established credit, you will probably need a co-signer to qualify for a vehicle loan. The co-signer will sign the credit application for your loan. If you do not make the payments on your loan, they will be responsible for them. In addition, the co-signer’s name will be on the loan contract and the loan will appear on their credit report. This means that the loan will be made out to two names and that both names will appear on the contract.
What’s the difference between first and second chance credit?
First chance credit means that creditors view you as a low-risk client and will give you a preferential rate. Second chance credit comes with slightly higher rates and is offered to customers who need to rebuild their credit history. After two years, you can refinance your loan at a better rate or get a better car.
Will I be approved for a car loan?
Car loan approval depends on your available income (salary, pension, benefits, dividends, etc.) and your personal situation (mortgage, rent, other loans, etc.). Use this formula to get your debt ratio. You must maintain a debt-to-income ratio that will allow you to live comfortably while you pay off your new car loan. Our credit team can help you calculate this ratio in just a few minutes and with minimal information. Get preapproved in 5 minutes.
Will applying for a loan affect my credit?
Yes and no.
In fact, every time you apply for credit, it's recorded on your file. The number of requests, whether accepted or refused, affects your credit score. However, you have the opportunity to improve your credit score by contracting different loans. An auto loan with installments that match your payment capability can help you rebuild a good credit record.
At Auto Durocher, we are specialists in auto loans. We work with several financial institutions offering auto loans. Thus, you reduce the number of inquiries. With a single application on your record, you have access to all options on the market.
It's important to apply for credit only when you genuinely need it. Accepting a new credit card offered in the mail or in stores to receive a bonus or gift is not a good idea if you don't plan to use the card. They will all be recorded on your file even if you don't use them.
However, for young people and newcomers, it's important to establish a credit record. To do this, getting a credit card issued by a financial institution will help you build your credit. To maintain a good score, you'll need to use it optimally, meaning using it for your purchases and paying it off immediately or paying the full amount by the due date at the latest.
If your credit score was affected in the past, no problem; you can fix it. You can meet with a financial manager to understand your credit behavior and make better decisions. Then, you can take action by using good payment methods and improving your credit record.
In summary, at Auto Durocher, you can enhance your credit score by taking out an auto loan that matches your payment ability and making the payments on the predetermined date.
